Setting up Your New York Times Account

Instructions for setting up your New Times account provided by University Libraries

Access Information

Once registered, faculty/staff will have 4 years of full account access, after which they must re-register by visiting accessnyt.com. Student academic passes will be valid until December 31 of the graduation year selected.

Creating an Account

  1. Navigate to https://www.nytimes.com/activate-access/edu-access
  2. Search for and click the listing for “University of Akron Main Campus "
  3. Click Create Account and complete the registration fields.

Existing New York Times ID

If you have previously registered your email address on The New York Times site, you will click the "Already have an account? Log in here" link (below the "Create Account" button).
